These veneers are laminated on a dark background and will retain their color regardless of your background color. There isn’t anything out there better than this stuff here! Pieces of shell and well made and worth the money. It will not crack. Wrap it around a pencil. Does not need to be heated, boiled or warmed up as I’ve seen said about other shell pieces.
Use adhesive, it does not have a sticky back. Each sheet, although the same, could have different patterns and shine differently in the sun. You won’t be disappointed.

Honestly, the best stuff for adhesion on this product is 3M spray tack.. part# 3M77 you can get it at Staples, maybe even Home Depot. Used even for mounting photos to boards etc.,
Sets up pretty easily. Spray it on the Abalone, wrap it on the rod, put on some masking tape and let it set
