Dear Kustom 4 Kids Volunteers,

I would like to personally like to thank all the folks in the Kustom 4 Kids program as well as all those people who bought
tickets to support their various projects. I was honored to help build the very first Kustom 4 Kids rod and was doubly honored to
be the first recipient of rod building supplies.

Todd Vivian of Lamiglas provided 50 rod blanks and the Kustom 4 Kids group supplied all the components with help from
Mark and Colleen Griffin of AcidRod.com.   Bill Batson (Batson Enterprises) has donated a tremendous number of rod kits for
our BBBS program as has Pac Bay. Flexcoat and Gudebrod have also helped. Thus far two Boy Scout troops, a Cub Scout
Webelos den, and an Optimist group have built fishing rods with their parents. In addition several high school “At-Risk” students
built rods. Next week another Boy Scout Troop and their parents will use up the last of the rod blanks, components and supplies.

I have worked with kids all my life and found it very rewarding to do so. Sharing my love of rod building with hundreds of them
has been a wonderful experience for me as well as for the kids and their parents. As a result of the contributions from Kustom 4
Kids many of the parents and local organizations have come forth to help continue the funding of the programs we conduct.
Thank you to all involved.

Sincerely,

Ron Walter

A little history and a lot of thanks from K4K.

A few years ago, Randy (Putter) Parpart and I found out by chance that we each, unknown to the other, had supported
Ron Walter's effort to provide rod building opportunities to our youth. Upon discussing this we decided to build and raffle a
rod to enable a source of funding in Ron's  behalf. We proceeded to put together that first K4K rod with Ron's agreement
and help. Putter furnished a blank and I made and installed the grips and Ron did a crosswrap. This left Putter with the
major work of providing guides, wrapping, marbling and adding his expertise on instigating and managing the raffle process.

After this successful raffle, we decided to build on that success and make a second rod. Again Putter provided the blank but
we added Rich Gassman (grips), which I installed. Doc Ski added a weave and cross wrap further enriching the talent base
available for first rod effort.

From this beginning the third K4K rod is ready to raffle with Mark Blabaum adding his talent to Doc and Putter's. Ron's
classes have been funded as well as a class in Red Bluff, CA (John Miller's) and also some supplies to Rich Kendall's class
in MI. Another plus has been Doc's unique talent for raising funds that has really pushed this up and over the top. .

Ron's letter of thanks has reminded us that we also have an opportunity to convey thanks to all that have provided support
and funds to our effort.

To start with Mark Griffin of Acid Rod has made his website available for this purpose as well as providing material for our
program and some matching funding to raffle ticket purchasers. Others that have stepped up and provided help are
Lamiglas, Swampland Rods, Batson Enterprises and recently FishHawk threads committed to help. Bill Batson  has again
personally reinforced the desire of Batson Enterprises to continue help as well.

Along with the supporters listed above but equally important are all of you across America that have purchased chances.
Many of you that have given moral support and encouragement as well.

For me it is a great honor to work with the talented individuals in the K4K program and to see the results of those efforts. I
want to say to all that have been involved in this effort: Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for this
program.   May it continue as new talent and enthusiasm is available.

Respectfully,
Stan Grace
